- 1 cup maraschino cherries, halved
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
- Whisk together granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
- Stir in shredded coconut and chopped peanuts until evenly distributed.
- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, 0.25 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Mix half of the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then stir in the remaining dry ingredients until blended.
- Press the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish. Distribute halved maraschino cherries and remaining chocolate chips over the batter.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk gently over the surface.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares. For an extra touch, drizzle with chocolate before serving.

- For a nut-free version, omit chopped peanuts.
