Description
Banana bars are a great recipe to use your ripe bananas. A hybrid of banana bread and banana blondies, these easy banana bars are loaded with sweet bananas, chocolate chips and walnuts!

- 8 tablespoon butter (softened)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup banana (mashed)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (125g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉.
- Cream the butter and the brown sugar together. Then, mix in the mashed bananas. Now add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients until almost combined before adding in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Finish mixing in the remaining flour after adding your mix ins.
- Add the batter to a lined baking pan. Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out the center clean.
- Allow to cool for 20-25 minutes before cutting and serving, enjoy.
