Description

A Zesty Lemon Cream Cheese Dump Cake is a simple and delicious dessert. It features layers of lemon pie filling, cream cheese, and yellow cake mix, topped with butter. This fuss-free cake is perfect for potlucks or any occasion when you need a quick and comforting treat.

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 4 oz cream cheese, chilled and cut into cubes
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, sliced thin
  • Optional garnishes: Powdered sugar, Fresh lemon zest, Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the lemon pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Distribute the cubed cream cheese over the lemon filling.
  4. Pour the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer. Do not stir.
  5. Place the thin butter slices over the cake mix, covering the surface as much as possible.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp, and the edges are bubbling.
  7. Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
