Crispy Vegan Fish Sticks That Will Wow Your Taste Buds


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 blocks Extra-firm tofu (1416 ounces each)
  • 0.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 12 packages Seaweed snack sheets
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 cups Low sodium soy sauce
  • 0.25 cups Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 cups Unsweetened non-dairy milk

Instructions

  1. Press the Tofu by wrapping it in paper towels with a plate and heavy books on top for 30 minutes to an hour.
  2. Preheat the Oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking pan.
  3. Slice the pressed tofu into sticks, then coat each stick in flour.
  4. Whisk together the soy sauce, lemon juice, and non-dairy milk in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Blend breadcrumbs, seaweed, and salt in a food processor until finely mixed.
  6. Coat each tofu stick in the wet mixture and then roll in the breadcrumb mix.
  7. Arrange coated sticks on the pan and bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. For frying, heat oil in a pan and fry sticks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
