  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter (Brushed on after baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy, then stir in salt.
  3. Add flour, minced jalapeños, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the dough is slightly tacky but smooth.
  4. In a large bowl, dissolve baking soda in very hot water.
  5. Divide the dough into equal pieces, roll each into ropes, then twist into pretzel shapes.
  6. Submerge each shaped pretzel in the baking soda bath for 30 seconds.
