Description

Experience the vibrant flavors of Thai Hot and Spicy Beef, a quick and delicious dish bursting with spices and aromatic ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons Oil (can be vegetable or coconut oil)
  • 3 tablespoons Red Curry Paste (adjust based on spice tolerance)
  • 4 leaves Kaffir Lime Leaves (fresh preferred)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 pieces Chilies (sliced, adjust for heat preference)
  • 1 pound Beef (thinly sliced (sirloin or flank steak))
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce (substitute with soy sauce for vegetarian)
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon White Sugar (can substitute with honey)
  • 1/4 cup Water (adjust for desired sauce consistency)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Oil: Begin by heating a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add a generous splash of oil, swirling it around to coat the surface evenly.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Once the oil is hot, introduce the red curry paste, kaffir lime leaves, minced garlic, and sliced chilies. Cook for about 20 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the Beef: Next, carefully add the thinly sliced beef to the wok. Stir-fry quickly, cooking until the beef is just done.
  4. Combine the Sauce Ingredients: Pour in the oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and water. Stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Serve Hot: Serve your Thai Hot and Spicy Beef immediately with steamed white rice. Optionally, top it with a perfectly fried egg.
