  • 2 cups Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Cane Sugar
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 2 tablespoons Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Raw Unfiltered Honey
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Cane Sugar
  • A drizzle of Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Raw Unfiltered Honey
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • For the Strawberry Glaze:
  • 1 cup Wholesome Organic Fair Trade Powdered Confectioners Sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 cup ground freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 9×9-inch square pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix diced fresh strawberries with 2 teaspoons sugar and a drizzle of honey.
  4. Beat sugar, eggs, and egg yolk in a stand mixer for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix in melted butter, oil, honey, and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Spread 1/4 of the batter in the prepared pan.
  8. Add 1 tablespoon flour to the fresh strawberries and mix.
  9. Add freeze-dried and fresh strawberries to the remaining batter.
  10. Pour the strawberry batter into the pan and smooth the top.
  11. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  12. Cool brownies completely on a wire rack.
  13. Mix powdered sugar, ground freeze-dried strawberries, and milk for the glaze.
  14. Drizzle the strawberry glaze over the cooled brownies and let it set.
