  • 2.5 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Five-spice powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • White sesame seeds
  • Chopped scallion

Instructions

  1. Debone the chicken thighs to ensure tender meat.
  2. Mix the soy sauce, five-spice powder, Chinese rice wine, sesame oil, and sugar in a bowl. Whisk until sugar is dissolved. Pour over chicken thighs.
  3. Heat a skillet over low to medium heat, add oil, then sauté garlic until light brown.
  4. Cook the chicken in the skillet, pouring in the reserved marinade. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until fully cooked through.
  5. Garnish chicken with sesame seeds and scallions before serving.
