Ingredients

  • 8 oz Sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 4 oz Salted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Grate the sharp cheddar cheese and let it rest at room temperature.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream the salted butter and grated cheese for 10-12 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
  5. Transfer the cheese dough to a piping bag and pipe long strips onto prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 12-14 minutes until lightly browned and crispy. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.
