Delicious Southern Cheese Straws that will impress everyone.
Ingredients

- 8 oz Sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
- 4 oz Salted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Grate the sharp cheddar cheese and let it rest at room temperature.
- In a stand mixer, cream the salted butter and grated cheese for 10-12 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Gently fold in the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt.
- Transfer the cheese dough to a piping bag and pipe long strips onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until lightly browned and crispy. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.
