Description
Zesty Garlic Shrimp Skewers Perfect for Your Next BBQ
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2.5 tablespoons olive oil
- 0.5 lemon zest
- 2.5 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1.5 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley (fresh)
- 0.67 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 8–10 skewers (soak bamboo skewers in water for 10 minutes)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are nicely blended.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss gently to coat each shrimp evenly, then let marinate for at least 15 minutes. For deeper flavor, marinate overnight in the fridge.
- Once marinated, thread about five shrimp onto each skewer, ensuring they fit snugly but not overcrowded.
- Preheat your BBQ or indoor grill to medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp skewers for approximately 3 minutes per side, or until they turn a lovely pink and opaque color.
- Place the skewers on a baking sheet and broil them under high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side for that delicious char.
- Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook the skewers for 6-7 minutes, shaking them halfway through for even cooking.
- Heat a bit of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, enjoying the sizzling sound as they cook.
- Once cooked, serve the skewers immediately with fresh lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
