Description
Salisbury steak meatballs are a twist on the classic recipe. Juicy ground beef meatballs are soaked in a flavorful gravy with mushrooms.
Ingredients

- 16 ounce ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 3 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup parsley (fresh & chopped)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 ounce mushroom (sliced)
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1.5 cup beef broth
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients for the meatballs. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Roll the meatballs by hand.
- In a pan on medium high heat, add oil and sear the meatballs on 1-2 sides. Remove from the pan.
- Add mushrooms to the pan. Allow the water to release and sear until browning.
- Lower heat to medium, add butter. Once melted, add flour and stir for about 1 minute with mushrooms.
- Add Dijon mustard, then pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and beef bouillon cube. Simmer and thicken while stirring. Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
- Add meatballs back in, lower heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer until fully cooked through.
- Turn off the heat and serve.
Notes
- For best results, let the meatball mixture rest before forming.
- Adjust seasonings to your taste.
