- 2 tablespoons Low sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves Garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 4 large Portobello mushrooms
Instructions
- Whisk together the marinade in a baking dish: Combine balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, low sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, ground cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Coat the mushrooms: Add the portobello mushrooms into the dish, using a brush to evenly coat each mushroom with the marinade on all sides.
- Let them marinate: Allow the mushrooms to sit in the marinade for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill: Set a grill pan or large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the mushrooms: Place the marinated mushrooms onto the hot grill or skillet and cook for approximately 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve and enjoy: Transfer the mushrooms to serving plates and enjoy immediately.
