Ingredients

- 1 sheet Puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 large Egg (beaten for egg wash)
- 1 cup Grated parmesan cheese (freshly grated preferred)
- 2 tablespoons Chopped chives (for flavor and decoration)
- 1 pinch Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 360°F (180°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out small pastry stars, placing half onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Add grated parmesan cheese on top of each star, then place another star-shaped pastry atop the cheese.
- Brush the tops of each pastry star with the beaten egg, and sprinkle a little more parmesan on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped chives and a sprinkle of salt right after removing from the oven.
