Pan Seared Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs for Dinner

Description

Honey mustard chicken thighs are super juicy with the sweet touch of honey mustard. Pan seared chicken thighs that are super easy and would be perfect for your weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 45 chicken thighs
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 stem thyme
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Lightly sprinkle the chicken with flour on both sides.
  2. In a saute pan on medium high heat, add 2-3 tablespoons of oil and sear the chicken until golden on both sides. Add in the chopped garlic when done. Once the garlic starts to brown, add in the butter.
  3. Add in 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for about 1 minute until it starts to brown.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, whisk while scraping the bottom to get any stuck bits. Once thickened and simmering, lower the heat to low.
  5. Add in the mustard, honey, thyme, and a little salt.
  6. Place the chicken back in and simmer in the sauce on low until fully cooked, about 15-20 minutes depending on size.
  7. Remove the chicken, whisk in the heavy cream, and taste for salt. Add more salt if needed. Once the sauce is thick, turn off the stove and place the chicken back into the pan. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
