Description

A quick and easy oven-baked honey mustard salmon recipe perfect for busy nights, combining sweet honey and tangy mustard for a wonderful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets Salmon Fillets (Opt for skin-on pieces to enhance texture and flavor.)
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon Mustard (Adds a delightful tang.)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (Infuses the dish with sticky sweetness.)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (Fresh juice balances sweetness.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Use a neutral oil for best results.)
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic (Elevates flavor; adjust quantity to taste.)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (Introduces mild smokiness.)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kosher Salt (Use in marinade and on fish.)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground adds warmth.)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest (Optional, but brightens the dish.)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (Sprinkle on top for color and freshness.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and lightly coat it with oil.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them skin-side down on the baking sheet.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and half of the kosher salt and black pepper.
  4. Generously brush the glaze over the salmon fillets, reserving some for later.
  5. Sprinkle remaining kosher salt and black pepper over the salmon.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until salmon is nearly opaque and internal temperature reaches 125-130°F (51-54°C).
  7. Optionally, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes for caramelization.
  8. Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
