  • 1 Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Bell Pepper (sliced)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch piece Ginger (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (adjust for less heat)
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds (optional)
  • 2 Green Onions (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon Gochugaru (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onions and bell peppers; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Include garlic and ginger; stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the squid; cook for 2-3 minutes until it turns opaque.
  5. Mix gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil in a bowl, then pour over the squid.
  6. Stir to coat and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Remove from heat; garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
