  • 2.25 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Brown the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until it turns a deep golden color and releases a nutty aroma.
  3. Mix together the brown sugar, rolled oats, egg, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  4. Gradually add the cooled browned butter and mix until just blended.
  5. Stir in the salt and all-purpose flour gently.
  6. Scoop the dough using a cookie scoop and drop it onto the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for about 6 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look set.
  8. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for approximately 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
