Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, mixing well to incorporate.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until everything is blended.
- Add the flour, gently folding it into the mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips at this stage for extra flavor.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
