Maple Mustard Chicken Apple Burgers is a delicious twist on classic burgers, combining savory chicken, apples, and a zesty mustard sauce for a healthy and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Chicken
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 1 medium Red Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 medium Apple
  • 1/4 cup Apple Juice
  • 1 tsp Dried Sage
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • to taste Salt & Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 6 pieces Brioche Buns
  • 1 cup Lettuce
  • 1/4 cup Parsley

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and mayonnaise until smooth. Refrigerate the sauce while you prepare the burgers.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Reserve a small amount of the bacon grease.
  3. Add minced red onion, garlic, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the reserved bacon grease. Cook until fragrant and tender, about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in apple juice and let it simmer until reduced by half. Stir in the crispy bacon, chopped apple, and parsley.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, panko bread crumbs, and the sautéed vegetable mixture. Form into six patties and chill for up to 30 minutes.
  6. Cook the patties on a preheated grill for about 6-7 minutes, flipping once and adding cheese during the last minute.
  7. Toast the brioche buns on the grill, spread the sauce on the bottom, place the burger patty on top, and add any desired toppings.
