Description
Crispy tortillas with maple-glazed beef, bacon and melted cheese – the perfect fusion of burger flavors in quesadilla form.
Ingredients
Scale
- 450g ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 120g cooked bacon, crumbled (about 1 cup)
- 2–3 tablespoons (30-45ml) maple syrup
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 180g shredded cheddar or American cheese
- Butter or cooking spray for grilling
- Sliced pickles
- Mustard for drizzling
- Caramelized onions
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until thoroughly browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the crumbled cooked bacon and drizzle with maple syrup. Mix until the beef is evenly coated and the syrup is distributed.
- Lay each tortilla flat and arrange half of the cheese on one side. Layer with the warm beef-bacon mixture, top with remaining cheese, and add optional ingredients like pickles, mustard or caramelized onions if desired. Fold each tortilla in half to enclose the filling.
- Preheat a buttered non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grill the folded quesadillas for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Allow the quesadillas to cool slightly before slicing into wedges. Serve with additional maple syrup or preferred dipping sauce.
