  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the butter and onions. Sauté until the onions are translucent, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the mushrooms.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is heated through but not boiling.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
