  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onions. Cook until the meat is browned and the onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the browned beef, carrots, peas, and cream of mushroom soup.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by a layer of cheese. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, and finish with cheese on top.
  6. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
