  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant—be careful not to burn it.
  5. Introduce the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Pour in the white wine (or chicken broth) to deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  7. Stir in the lemon juice and red pepper flakes, adjusting to taste.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine everything evenly. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit more butter or olive oil.
  9. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and toss again to distribute.
  10. Plating should be done right away while it’s hot for the best experience.
