Description
Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Pasta: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust according to spice preference)
- ½ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth for non-alcoholic)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant—be careful not to burn it.
- Introduce the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Pour in the white wine (or chicken broth) to deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the lemon juice and red pepper flakes, adjusting to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine everything evenly. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit more butter or olive oil.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and toss again to distribute.
- Plating should be done right away while it’s hot for the best experience.
