- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- Extra Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs and set aside.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet used for the meatballs, lower the heat and add heavy cream and marinara sauce. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 5-10 minutes until heated through.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce and meatballs.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Once everything is well combined and heated, remove from heat.
