- ¾ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar, for rolling
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Fold in chopped nuts if using.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool slightly, then roll them in a mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon while warm.
- Once completely cooled, roll again in powdered sugar for a perfect snowy coating.
