  • ¾ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for rolling
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in chopped nuts if using.
  7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cookies cool slightly, then roll them in a mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon while warm.
  10. Once completely cooled, roll again in powdered sugar for a perfect snowy coating.
