- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt Flakes (for sprinkling on top)
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently incorporate the large egg and pure vanilla extract into the creamed mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to your wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Split your dough in half. Mix cocoa powder into one half and creamy peanut butter into the other half.
- Take a tablespoon of both chocolate and peanut butter doughs, press them together lightly, and swirl for a marbled effect.
- Position the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
