- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 8 slices thinly sliced ham
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs
- Peanut or vegetable oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pound the chicken to an even thickness of about 1 cm.
- Assemble the rolls with Swiss cheese, ham, and another layer of cheese and ham.
- Roll the chicken tightly using plastic wrap.
- Chill the rolls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan to 170°C.
- Bread the chicken by rolling in flour, dipping in egg, and coating with panko.
- Fry each roll for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Check the internal temperature; if not 75°C, finish in a 170°C oven.
- Make the Dijon sauce by melting butter, sautéing garlic, adding flour, then whisking in milk, mustard, and Parmesan.
