Instructions
- Preheat oven: Begin by setting your oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a standard 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside, ready for those delightful cruffins!
- Roll out dough: On a lightly floured work surface, roll out each tube of crescent dough into a rectangle measuring 12×16 inches.
- Mix fillings: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped chives, and minced garlic until well-blended.
- Spread butter mixture: Take one sheet of dough and spread about one-third of the butter mixture evenly over the surface.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the butter mixture.
- Roll the dough: Starting on the long edge of the dough sheet, tightly roll it up into a log shape.
- Cut the log: Slice the log in half to create two shorter logs.
- Cut again: Take each of the shorter logs and cut them in half lengthwise.
- Repeat: Repeat steps 4 to 8 with the remaining two sheets of dough.
- Shape the cruffins: With the layered side facing out, roll each section of dough into a tight cinnamon roll shape.
- Place in muffin tin: Put each rolled cruffin into the prepared muffin tin.
- Bake: Slide the muffin tin into your oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cruffins are golden brown.
- Prepare garlic butter: While your cruffins are baking, whisk together the melted butter, garlic, chives, and salt in a small bowl.
- Brush topping: Once your cruffins are out of the oven and warm, generously brush the garlic butter topping over them.
