  • 3 cups Mild cheddar cheese (shredded and divided)
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Chives (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Begin by setting your oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a standard 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside, ready for those delightful cruffins!
  2. Roll out dough: On a lightly floured work surface, roll out each tube of crescent dough into a rectangle measuring 12×16 inches.
  3. Mix fillings: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped chives, and minced garlic until well-blended.
  4. Spread butter mixture: Take one sheet of dough and spread about one-third of the butter mixture evenly over the surface.
  5. Add cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the butter mixture.
  6. Roll the dough: Starting on the long edge of the dough sheet, tightly roll it up into a log shape.
  7. Cut the log: Slice the log in half to create two shorter logs.
  8. Cut again: Take each of the shorter logs and cut them in half lengthwise.
  9. Repeat: Repeat steps 4 to 8 with the remaining two sheets of dough.
  10. Shape the cruffins: With the layered side facing out, roll each section of dough into a tight cinnamon roll shape.
  11. Place in muffin tin: Put each rolled cruffin into the prepared muffin tin.
