Description

Beef Bulgogi Bliss is a sweet and savory Korean BBQ dish. This recipe features tender, thinly sliced beef marinated in a garlicky sauce. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 lbs Beef Chuck Roast (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 15 oz Korean BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 head Garlic (peeled and crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

Instructions

  1. Freeze the beef chuck roast for 40 minutes to 2 hours to make slicing easier.
  2. In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, Korean BBQ sauce, soy sauce, water, crushed garlic, and black pepper.
  3. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade. Toss well to ensure each piece is coated.
  4. Marinate the beef in the refrigerator for 24 hours for optimal flavor infusion.
  5. Heat a pan or griddle over high heat and add sesame oil.
  6. Cook the marinated beef in batches for about 5 minutes, or until browned and slightly caramelized.
  7. Serve the beef bulgogi hot with steamed rice and optional lettuce leaves for wrapping.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free soy sauce or Liquid Aminos.
  • You can marinate the beef up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking to achieve proper caramelization.
