- 5 lbs Beef Chuck Roast (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 15 oz Korean BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 cup Water
- 1 head Garlic (peeled and crushed)
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
Instructions
- Freeze the beef chuck roast for 40 minutes to 2 hours to make slicing easier.
- In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, Korean BBQ sauce, soy sauce, water, crushed garlic, and black pepper.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade. Toss well to ensure each piece is coated.
- Marinate the beef in the refrigerator for 24 hours for optimal flavor infusion.
- Heat a pan or griddle over high heat and add sesame oil.
- Cook the marinated beef in batches for about 5 minutes, or until browned and slightly caramelized.
- Serve the beef bulgogi hot with steamed rice and optional lettuce leaves for wrapping.

- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free soy sauce or Liquid Aminos.
- You can marinate the beef up to 24 hours in advance.
