Description

Crispy corn tortillas topped with succulent shrimp, guacamole, and pico de gallo, all drizzled with a creamy, spicy Bang Bang sauce. These Bang Bang Shrimp Tostadas are a flavorful and quick summer treat perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Raw deveined peeled shrimp
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • Canola oil for frying
  • 8 Corn tortillas
  • 2 Avocados
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha

Instructions

  1. Fry corn tortillas in oil until golden brown and crispy, or bake at 400°F for 10 minutes, brushing with oil. Set aside.
  2. Marinate shrimp in buttermilk, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mash avocados and mix with minced garlic, diced onion, chopped tomato, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, and salt for guacamole.
  4. Combine diced tomatoes, bell pepper, minced onion, chopped garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and salt for pico de gallo.
  5. Toss marinated shrimp in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  6. Fry coated shrimp in hot oil for 2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce, reserving some for drizzling.
  8. Assemble tostadas by spreading guacamole on tortillas, topping with shrimp, pico de gallo, and drizzling with Bang Bang sauce.
